KODI: Community Portal: First Thing to do After Installing Kodi

Install Community Portal is the very first thing you should do after first installation of Kodi.

XBMC is the previous name of KODI, it changed name to KODI few months ago.
Community Portal is the predecessor of  TotalInstaller.

Now we are going to install the Community Portal.

First, fire up KODI:

go to System>File Manager

 

click Add source :

 

Enter the path in the box below  "Enter the path or ..."

Type the following EXACTLY http://noobsandnerds.com/portal and select Done

 

Enter a name for this media Source & type Portal (or whatever you want to name it, but remember the name because we'll use it later ), I name it Portal. Click ok

 

Then click the home button (small house) back to home screen

Now click System>Add-ons

Select Install from zip and click Portal (the name you have given) > select noobsandnerds_repo.zip and Wait for Add-on enabled notification (sometimes it is too fast to notice)

Now Select Install from repository >

 

Select noobsandnerds Repository > Program Add-ons > Community Portal > Install 

 

The Community Portal is downloading and install

 

You will see Enabled after success installation.

 

Now, on this screen, C on your keyboard, right click with a mouse, long press on touch screen devices or Menu button on your remote, a dialog box will pop-up, select configure

 

Here, you have to log-in with  your user name & password, and click "click here to check credentials" to unlock the full features of the Community Portal

Your login credentials are now entered and saved. You can access The Community Portal via your PROGRAMS menu.

 

 

天貓魔盒：解決“廣電局”封殺第三方軟件，再安裝軟件的方法！

最近天貓魔盒更新後，把全部第三方軟件給封殺（刪除）了，例如電視家，電視貓，CIBN 等等。
而且想要安裝回去也不能，即使從U盤安裝也沒辦法。


其實方法很簡單。只要將天貓魔盒重置還原系統到購買時第一次使用的樣子就可以了。這方法也能解決由於使用時候長，影響使用的速度或是一些軟體安裝出錯也可以使用這個方法來解決。

系統還原後，再從U盤（usb） 安裝第三方直播軟件就可以了。

方法1：可以開機情況下恢復出廠設置

1.      

在天貓魔盒內操作都是使用遙控器操作的。這個遙控器比較簡單，關機，主頁，上下左右，播放/暫停，返回，音量鍵下面我在操作的時候會說出來些鍵在什麼時候按。

2.      

進入天貓魔盒的首頁。使用【左鍵】移動到【系統設置】再按【播放/暫停】。

3.      

在這個介面下就可以看到【還原出廠狀態】移動到此處按【播放/暫停】。

4.      

此時會提示你是不是要還原到出廠狀態，移動到【確認還原】按【播放/暫停】。此時會關機自動還原到出廠狀態。這個過程大概需要兩分鐘左右。

注意：你之前輸入將會不見，需要重新輸入。例如 WIFI 密碼。

方法2：不可開機的情況下恢復出廠設置

1.   

把天貓魔盒翻過來看下面有recover重置小孔，用一個小針在斷電狀態下按住recover小孔不放，然後插上電源，此時電源指示燈是不亮的。然後放開按住recover孔內的小針藍燈開始閃爍，天盒魔就開始開始清理和重置，等著燈常亮藍燈的就時候就還原好了。

Firefox: Open Links to Children Tabs (work for all versions)

With Tree Style Tab extension installed, I was able to open links to new children tabs. The version of Firefox I was using then was 38.

Unfortunately, this function won't work anymore after the Firefox upgrading to version 42. When I clicked on a link while doing search, it opened in the tab itself instead of switching to a child tab.

Tabs are very useful especially when we do a lot of search work on the browser, and the Tree Style Tab will help greatly. Tabs browsing enables us to easily organize pages. Tabs can be moved in Firefox, so we can rearrange the pages based on their importance.

After some research on the Internet, I found the solution:

Solution 1:

Hold down "Ctrl" and click a link to open it in a new tab.

Solution 2:

Make Firefox automatically switch to newly opened tabs by opening the "Options" window, clicking "General" and then enabling the "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately" option.

If the solution 2 not working and you want  open link in new tab automatically, go to

solution 3:

Step 1: Type "about:config" in the URL bar and enter, accept the warning message.

Step 2: Search "browser.search.openintab" and double click on the result to change the value from "false" to "true"

Step 3: Search "browser.link.open_newwindow", change the value from 3 (as usually) to 1.

Step 4: Restart the browser and you should be able to open links to new tabs now.

If solution 4 still not working, then you have to install addon:

SDL Trados 2007 - Import, setup and export functions greyed out

A strange problem with Trados Translators' Workbench.

Under the File menu, the Properties, Import, Setup, Export, Reorganise, Maintenance commands are greyed out and not accessible.



Solution:

You need to open the Translation Memory in Exclusive mode in order for these functions to become available. Please try the following:

1. Open Translators Workbench
2. Go to File > Open...
3. Select your Translation Memory (TM) from the file browser and tick the "Exclusive" option.
4. Select "Open" to open the selected TM in Exclusive mode.

You should now be able to use the functions.
